Oswego, NY- A crash Tuesday night near the Oswego Speedway has taken the lives of three people and sent two other to the hospital.
The crash happened just after 8 p.m. on Albany Street when the driver lost control and struck a utility pole. The impact of the crash ejected the car’s five passengers. When police arrived, Robert Senke, Justin Purdy and Antonio Mendez were dead. Two other men in the car, Donald Odin and Jeremy Tassie were taken to a local hospital, but are expected to recover.
Odin owns the vehicle but Senke was driving at the time of the accident. Police said the five men were drinking prior to the accident and also believe excessive speed played a factor in the accident.
Tragic accidents are far too common, and in too many instances preventable. Driver negligence is almost always the cause of a fatal or injurious accident. And these drivers need to be held accountable for their actions. Even though they may face criminal charges, the injured or the family of the deceased may seek justice in the form of a financial settlement. A New York accident attorney will make certain these victims get the justice they deserve.
Traffic accident lawyers are adept at gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Their diligence assures that personal injury victims have a strong case which can result in a generous settlement.
If you have been involved in a traffic accident you may be eligible to a significant settlement. A New York accident lawyer will evaluate your case and tell you if you qualify for compensation.
