Posted in Wayland, MO- Two Iowa residents were killed Monday after a traffic accident involving two cars at the intersection of Route B and Route C.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported that the driver of a pickup truck, Dan King, 42, of Alexandria, MO was traveling on Route B when he approached the intersection. A car driven by Blaine Dehart, 78 of Iowa failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by the
King’s truck was stuck Dehart’s car on the driver’s side door. The impact of the collision pushed both vehicles into a ditch. Dehart’s car landed on its roof. King’s truck landed on the driver’s side on top of Dehart’s car.
Dehart and his passenger Gertrude Dubois, 49, died at the scene.
King was airlifted to a nearby hospital where he is in stable condition.
