EAST RIDGE, Tennessee — An East Ridge police officer has been fired after a hit and run crash that involved his patrol vehicle.
Officer Sean Merriman was terminated Monday after an investigation on the hit and run incident was finalized.
The officer was initially suspended after the crash. According to the investigation report, Merriman crashed into a neighbor’s parked vehicle, causing major damage to both cars. Merriman left the accident scene of the accident and did not report it to authorities or his neighbor.
