Authorities are still trying to accumulate information regarding the accident to provide to worried parents. Of the 28 fatalities, 22 were students, but not all parents have been notified yet.

A teacher, an assistant, two bus drivers and two other adults were also killed. Twenty-four children were transported to hospitals for injuries.
The bus was transporting 52 people, mostly children, from the towns of Lommel and Heverlee in Belgium’s Flanders region when it crashed into the side of a tunnel in the Swiss canton of Valais just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
