Woman hospitalized after getting pinned between two vehicles

Mendon, New York — A woman was hospitalized after being pinned between two vehicles.

Jill Klimasewski, 55, of Mendon, was trying to assist with an accident when she got pinned between two vehicles on Route 251 on Wednesday morning.

A vehicle was heading east bound on the highway and lost control, leaving the road. Klimasewski saw what happened, parked her vehicle, and went over to the driver to see if she could help.

As she was standing next to the victim’s vehicle, a driver that was also heading eastbound crashed into her and pinned her in between his truck and the other victim’s car. The driver is Craig Huston, 40, of Rochester.

Fire rescue spent hours trying to free Klimasewski and rushed her to Strong Memorial Hospital. She sustained multiple, non-life-threatening injuries.

Huston was charged with speeding.
