July 16th, 2012    Posted in Accident News

The sudden death of action star Sylvester Stallone’s 36-year-old son Sage was ruled as an accident.

Sage was found dead of an apparent overdose Friday. However, no signs pointed at his death being planned.

Sage had plans to be married to his girlfriend in a Las Vegas ceremony as soon as next weekend and did not leave a suicide note.

Speculations surfaced that Sage had been dead for several days before being found by his housekeeper, but his attorney, George Braunstein, refuted the allegations, saying he had recently spoken to his client, who seemed to be doing well.

“The last conversation I had with him he was telling me about how he was getting married, and he was planning on some kind of exciting costume wedding in Las Vegas,” Braunstein told E! News. “He was up and positive about everything.”

Sage had even posted photos on his Facebook account just 17 hours before his body was found.

According to officials, Sage’s death was most likely an accidental overdose. Police discovered prescription pill bottles in his room during the investigation.

Autopsy results are due back between four to six weeks.

Sage was the first of two sons Stallone had with his first wife, Sasha Czack.

Atlanta Braves’ Tommy Hanson Suffers Concussion Following Car Accident

February 21st, 2012    Posted in Accident News

02 21 12 Accident Attorney News Blog1 Atlanta Braves’ Tommy Hanson Suffers Concussion Following Car AccidentLAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida – Atlanta Braves’ pitcher Tommy Hanson is recovering following a one-car accident on Monday morning.

Hanson’s tire blew out while he was en route to the Braves’ Spring Training complex at around 7 a.m. on Monday and his vehicle went off the road.
He later arrived at the complex and was ready to begin training but told the team’s medical staff that he wasn’t feeling well. Hanson does not remember whether he hit his head or not, but doctors diagnosed him with a Grade 1 concussion, the lowest on the scale. Hanson will be reevaluated after he’s had the chance to rest for 48 hours.

The 25-year-old could resume regular workouts again as early as the weekend but Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez doesn’t want to take any chances with his health. He has noted that Hanson’s recovery will not put him behind schedule in any way, but he will need to be cleared of any symptoms before training again.

“If everything progresses like we think it will, he’ll be fine,” said Gonzalez. “The thing [our trainers] do not want to do is bring him back too early, and then he gets dizzy because of the concussion. It’s just a natural progression.”

After already missing the first two months of the 2011 season because of a previous shoulder injury, Hanson was looking forward to begin Spring Training. Luckily, the accident will not take too much time off of his schedule.
