Iowa Teen Hospitalized Following Farm Accident

REMSEN, Iowa – An Iowa teen has been hospitalized following an accident on a northwest Iowa farm.

The incident occurred at around 3 p.m. Monday near Remsen. A 17-year-old girl was pinned between a gate and several hay bales that were being moved by a skid loader.

By the time paramedics arrived she had been freed and was then transported to Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Authorities say her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The name of the young victim has yet to be released.

Two Men Killed in Missouri Crash

IMPERIAL, MO – A car crash near Imperial in Jefferson County has resulted in the deaths of two men.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victims as 31-year-old Joseph Davis and 57-year-old Matthew Held, both of Hillsboro.

The men died after their car rear-ended a tractor-trailer just after 1 a.m. Saturday on Old Highway M, east of Lemay Ferry Road.

According to police, the driver of the tractor-trailer was backing up to turn into a private driveway when the victims’ car rear-ended the truck.

Davis and Held were transported to a St. Louis hospital following the incident, where they later died.

Another occupant in the vehicle sustained moderate injuries.

Montana Boy Run Over by Motorhome on Father’s Day

MONTANA – A Montana child was run over by a Motorhome on Father’s Day.

Police report a 52-year old father ran over his 5-year son with a motorhome just after 2 p.m. on Father’s Day, on 6100 block of Marysville Road. The boy suffered severe trauma to his body from the accident.

According to Montana Trooper Jeremy Rice, the father was moving the motorhome to a back lot in order to park it when he went over what felt like a bump. The man got out to see what happened, only to find he had run over his son.

The child was in severe condition after the accident and was airlifted from the Sieben Flats to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls roughly an hour after the incident occurred.

Rice said the child was listed in stable condition as of Sunday evening.

Nebraska Crash Causes Backup on I-80

YORK, NE- A two-car crash on Interstate 80 near York on Wednesday caused traffic to become backed up.

According to Nebraska State Patrol emergency dispatchers, the incident took place on the westbound lanes of I-80 roughly 15 miles west of York. No injuries or deaths were reported.

A witness who was heading eastbound on I-80 reported that two pickup trucks were involved in the car accident. He added that the crash caused delays in traffic as emergency crews cleaned up debris from the scene.

All lanes on the interstate reopened by noon.

Former Missouri Linebacker Killed in Car Accident

Marcus Bacon, a former linebacker for Missouri, was killed in an auto accident Friday evening in Houston.

Bacon was driving a Nissan Maxima southbound near the West 610 Loop when he drove over a curb and lost control of the vehicle, leading it to hit train tracks, and flipping over several times.

Bacon was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

According to authorities, there was no evidence that Bacon was intoxicated. However, witnesses reported the vehicle was speeding, traveling about 90 mph at the time of the accident.

Bacon, 28, joined Missouri in 2002 as a defensive back from Cypress Springs High School in Houston. Over the next five years, he grew into an all-conference linebacker, earning first-team all-Big 12 honors his senior year.
