R&B superstar Usher’s 11-year-old stepson, Kile Glover, has passed away being taken off life support 21 days after he became brain dead following a jet-ski accident on Lake Lanier in Georgia.
Glover was unresponsive since paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident and was declared brain dead by doctors.
The young boy had been floating on an inner tube with a 15-year-old girl when a family friend, Jeffrey S. Hubbard, crashed his jet ski into them.
Glover and his friend were airlifted to Atlanta’s Egleston Pediatric Hospital. The girl suffered a cut to the head and a broken arm, while Glover sustained serious head injuries.
Glover’s mother, Tameka Foster, and other loved ones turned to Twitter after the tragic loss, asking fans to keep Kile in their prayers.
“We know God’s in control, and (we) are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now,” wrote Foster.
According to authorities, no charges have been filed against Hubbard.

Sean Kingston has reached out to fellow singer Usher, whose 11-year-old stepson, Kyle Glover, sustained critical injuries in a jet ski accident last week in Georgia.
Kingston, who was seriously injured in a jet ski accident of his own in Miami last year, says his thoughts and prayers are with young Glover and his family.
“I know how that is, it’s a crazy situation,” said Kingston to Hollyscoop.com. “People need to pray right now, all he needs is a good prayer. I hope everything works out, it’s crazy. It’s a tough situation.”
Glover remains hospitalized and doctors say he incurred severe head injuries which have left him brain dead.
Kingston is keeping Glover’s mother Tameka Foster, and her ex, Usher, in his prayers and hopes the best for the boy.
Glover was hit while he was floating on an inner tube with a 15-year-old girl on Lake Lanier in Atlanta. The man operating the jet ski was family friend Jeffrey S. Hubbard.
Both Glover and the girl were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Glover sustained serious head wounds and was found unresponsive by paramedics at the scene. The girl sustained a cut on her head and broken arm.
