OSWEGO, N.Y. — Police say speed and alcohol were factors in a fatal crash that claimed the lives of three Oswego men and injured two others.

According to the City of Oswego police, a mid-sized sedan driven by 25-year-old Robert Senke crashed into a utility pole Tuesday night near the Oswego Speedway.  The impact caused several car occupants to be ejected from the vehicle.

Following an investigation, evidence showed that all the men had been drinking before the crash and authorities believe the driver had been speeding.

Senke, Justin Purdy, 24, and Antonio , 28, were killed as a result of the accident. Donald Odin, 26, and Jeremy Tassie, 22, were hospitalized for their injuries and are expected to recover.
