Missouri Man Killed in High Speed Chase Sunday Night

Truesdale, MO- A Missouri man was killed Sunday night after he fled police and lost control of his vehicle.

Police said that Ted Fitzgerald, 27, of St. Peters was being chased by police on Veteran’s Parkway in Truesdale. Fitzgerald was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle then slammed into a guardrail. His vehicle overturned and ejected him. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Fitzgerald was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident. Police have not stated why Fitzgerald was running from police.
