Maryland Woman Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A Maryland woman was killed Saturday morning when her motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck in Cumberland County.

Sonia Valentine, 48, of Odenton, Md., died at South Jersey HealthCare Regional Medical Center in Vineland, following a three-vehicle collision in Maurice River Township.

The car accident took place around11 a.m. when James Schuler, 52, of Maurice River Township, was driving his Dodge pickup truck north on Route 47 and failed to make a stop.

The Dodge rear-ended a Nissan pickup, driven by Ronald Elbertson, 35, also of Maurice River Township. The force of the impact caused the Nissan into enter the southbound lane, where it hit Valentine’s Suzuki motorcycle.
